Juvelook Skin Booster Harleston Norfolk
Juvelook is a collagen-stimulating skin booster for thin, crepey or textured skin. At our aesthetic clinic in Harleston, Norfolk, every Juvelook treatment begins with a thorough consultation to plan the right approach for you.
What is Juvelook Skin Booster?
Juvelook® is an injectable hybrid skin booster developed by VAIM in South Korea. Each vial contains 42.5mg of poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) microspheres and 7.5mg of non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid, which we mix with sterile water into a smooth liquid just before treatment.
The two ingredients work on different timescales. Hyaluronic acid gives early hydration and is gradually broken down. The PDLLA microspheres act as a biostimulator: as they are slowly absorbed, they prompt your skin to make more of its own collagen, improving thickness, firmness and texture over the following weeks and months.
This makes Juvelook quite different from our NCTF® skin booster, which nourishes the skin with vitamins and hyaluronic acid. Juvelook's results build more slowly but are designed to last longer. It is also separate from Juvelook Volume, a different product used for deeper volume restoration.
Juvelook Skin Booster Benefits
Juvelook improves skin quality rather than adding volume or changing your facial shape. It is commonly used under the eyes, on the cheeks, full face and neck, and may help to:
- Encourage your skin's own collagen production
- Improve thin, crepey skin, including under the eyes
- Soften fine lines and wrinkles
- Refine skin texture and the look of pores
- Improve the appearance of some shallow acne scars
- Increase skin firmness and elasticity
- Deliver gradual, natural-looking results
Juvelook is a newer treatment, and research so far comes mainly from small clinical studies and case reports. Results are promising but vary between individuals, so we will always be honest about what is realistic for your skin. At your consultation, our practitioner will also discuss alternatives such as Profhilo, Philtre skin booster or plasma injections if they suit you better.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE
Juvelook Skin Booster Procedure
Follow each stage of your Juvelook treatment, from your first consultation to your final results, so you know exactly what to expect.
Consultation and Skin Assessment
Our practitioner assesses your skin's thickness, laxity, texture and any scarring, and reviews your medical history, medicines and any previous fillers or skin boosters in the area.
Treatment Plan and Consent
We explain how Juvelook works, the expected benefits, the possible risks and the alternatives. Together we agree the treatment areas, number of sessions and cost before you give your consent.
Preparing Juvelook
Juvelook is supplied as a powder and is reconstituted shortly before treatment, then mixed so the microspheres are evenly dispersed for a smooth, even result.
Numbing and Preparation
Your skin is thoroughly cleansed and a numbing cream may be applied to keep you comfortable.
Injection Technique
Small amounts of Juvelook are placed evenly across the treatment area using a fine needle, a blunt-tipped cannula or both, depending on the area. Most people feel a brief sting. Allow around 45 to 60 minutes.
Post-Treatment Care
Redness, small bumps and mild swelling usually settle within 24 to 48 hours. Avoid make-up for 12 hours, and avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol for 48 hours. Avoid facials or pressure on the area for 2 weeks and wear SPF daily.
Your Course of Treatment
Most people have 2 to 3 sessions, spaced around 4 to 6 weeks apart. Your practitioner will adjust this to your skin and the area treated.
Results and Maintenance
Your skin may feel more hydrated soon after treatment, while collagen builds gradually, with the main changes over 8 to 12 weeks. Results may last a year or more, with occasional top-up sessions. Results vary and are not guaranteed.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
We have put together some commonly asked questions.
What is Juvelook?
Juvelook is an injectable skin booster by VAIM that combines PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) with non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid. It hydrates the skin and encourages new collagen to improve texture, firmness and fine lines.
How is Juvelook different from NCTF®, Profhilo and dermal fillers?
NCTF® nourishes the skin with vitamins and hyaluronic acid. Profhilo is pure hyaluronic acid for hydration. Dermal fillers add volume. Juvelook's PDLLA focuses on gradual collagen stimulation without adding volume.
Can Juvelook be used under the eyes?
Yes, Juvelook is often used for thin, crepey skin under the eyes. This is a delicate area, so we assess it carefully at consultation, and it may not suit everyone, for example people with significant under-eye bags.
When will I see results from Juvelook?
Early hydration may be noticeable within days. Because collagen builds slowly, the main improvements usually appear over 8 to 12 weeks after your course.
How long do Juvelook results last?
Results vary, but collagen-stimulating treatments often last longer than hydration-only boosters. Many patients maintain results with an occasional top-up session, which we will plan with you.
What are the side effects of Juvelook?
Redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness and small bumps are common and usually settle within days. Less commonly, small firm lumps (nodules) can form, sometimes weeks later. Rare risks include infection and a blood vessel being affected, which needs urgent care.
Can Juvelook be dissolved?
No. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, PDLLA cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase. It is absorbed naturally by the body over time, which is why careful assessment and an experienced practitioner matter.
Who should not have Juvelook?
Juvelook is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an active skin infection or inflammation in the area, or with a known allergy to any ingredient. Please tell us about autoimmune conditions, a history of keloid scarring, and recent fillers.
